Builder Gel vs. Nail Extensions
Builder gel or hard gel overlay is applied to support your existing natural nail. Nail extensions add length. Your nail artist can help determine the appropriate service based on your natural nails and desired result.
Pricing
Nail extensions with gel included: short $125, medium $165, long $185. Final prices vary by nail artist and add-ons.
How Long Does Builder Gel Last?
A professionally applied builder gel overlay may last approximately 4–5 weeks, depending on natural nail growth, lifestyle and aftercare. For the best balance and appearance, we recommend booking maintenance every 3–4 weeks. Waiting too long can change the balance of the overlay as your nails grow.
Our Dry Manicure Process
Your nail artist assesses your natural nails and desired shape, carefully prepares the cuticle area using dry Russian manicure techniques, and builds a tailored gel structure. The aim is a smooth, refined overlay with appropriate strength for your nail length, not an unnecessarily thick finish. Color, French tips or nail art can be selected according to the artist and booked add-ons.
Builder Gel Overlay or Extensions: Which Should I Book?
Choose a hard gel or builder gel manicure when you want to keep your current natural length and add structure. If you want longer nails than you currently have, book nail extensions instead. Extensions require a separate appointment and are not part of our simultaneous Full Combo. If you are unsure, contact us before booking so we can direct you to the appropriate nail artist.
What We Do Not Offer
We do not work with acrylic, dip powder, Gel-X or polygel. We remove existing overlay material down to the base as needed rather than performing traditional fills.
Builder Gel & Extensions FAQ
How long does a builder gel appointment take?
For a standard manicure, allow up to 2 hours 30 minutes with a Junior Nail Artist, up to 2 hours with a Senior Nail Artist, or around 1 hour 15–30 minutes with a Top Master. Extensions, removal and detailed nail art may take longer; the booking menu shows the reserved time.
How often should I maintain builder gel nails?
We generally recommend maintenance every 3–4 weeks.
Can you add length to natural nails?
Yes, book our nail extensions service for added length.
Are nail extensions included in Full Combo?
No. Extensions must be booked separately.
Do you offer acrylic extensions?
No. We work with gel-based services, not acrylic.
